As the dust begins to settle in the wake of Election Day, we wanted to take a moment and share with you how excited we are about the results of our campaign. In three of the most competitive races that took place this election, we succeeded in bringing the issue of political spending to the forefront of the debate, getting both candidates to go on public record about their willingness to take a stand against the critical problem of untraceable outside spending. When I traveled to Charleston earlier this month for just one meeting, I fully expected the trip would be brief. But one brief meeting became no meeting at all when only one of the vital participants showed up. Instead of witnessing an historic moment for West Virginia, I sat in a virtually empty room with Evan Jenkins, the challenger for West Virginia's Third Congressional District, while his counterpart, Rep. It's been a big week at CounterPAC. Last Thursday, we launched our first wave of ads in Alaska, Georgia, and West Virginia calling on candidates to take our "no dark money" pledge. Already, people are paying attention. Our launch received coverage from national outlets such as CNN, the Washington Post, and HuffPo and major local outlets in all three of our target states.
